![]() Its rated at 1200x1 at 1ohm and does at least that. ![]() A very good amp for SQ on a budget or SPL.ĪudioBahn A1300HCT - Laugh all you want but the HC line of audiobahn amps is good. Alot like the memphis onlye bigger, and maybe a tad better made. It's also fairlt cheap at about $330 on ebay. This is a great amp I would strongly recomend. Its rated at 1400 at 2ohms but I know it also works well at 4ohms where I think it does 1200. This amp is fairly efficent, looks kinda cool if your into that look, and puts out some real power. PG 1200.1 - Lots or power for a great price. About the same price as the memphis, maybe a tad less. But still better then the JBL and Hifonics IMO. Also a good amp for cheap spl as it does not have the best SQ.ĭirected 1100d - Basicly like the memphis only not as efficent, not as small and not as cool. A decent option, nothing bad about it for the money. This is stable at 1ohm unlike the JBL and costs about $50 more at $275 off ebay. rated at 1500 at 1ohm, but it does less then that rms. ![]() May run a little hotter, but it is a tad better of an amp IMO. Hifonics 1500d - About the same quality as the JBL. This is a cheaper amp at about $200-$250 shipped off ebay. Not a huge amp but larger then the memphis and will get hot unlike the memphis. They also say that it can work at 1ohm, which I dont doubt, just dont expect any warranty if you do. ![]() rated at 1200 at 2ohms but people claim it does a good 1300 if not 1400 at 2ohms. JBL BP1200.1 - This is probably the most used amp in this range. mc is black pearl in color, st is silver/chrome. I often recomend this to people with Brahma's and subs like it. Puts out 1100 real rms watts at 1ohm at 13.X volts. Memphis mc-1000d aka 16st-1000d - So the amp I would most recomend in this price would be this. I'm just trying to save people the time they use asking this question. I'll definitely post back here once I find out more. Most of this is not from first hand experince so please correct me where I am wrong. They did this with my M4 drive shaft vibration issue and it was eventually resolved. They are going to see if their are any DCT software updates and then if not, they are going to submit a case to BMW in Germany if there is no obvious fix. I am going to bring in the car again in the next week or two for them to look at it. ![]() So the transmission is able to do the quick downshifts, but just doesn't want to when driving normally (without cruise control on).Īctually, I was just in the dealership this Friday and brought up the issue with the new foreman (as the previous one had left and my discussions with him hadn't carried forward). What is also interesting is that if you turn on cruise control, then downshift, the gear change occurs instantaneously. Yes, the colder it gets, I find that the "warmup" period takes longer, and also the time it takes for the car to sit in the garage and go back to "lethargic" mode also shortens. I did notice after the engine hits normal operating temps I would pull over and restart the car and boom, it goes back to normal. I noticed that it started happening when the weather got a little cooler even though I park in a garage. I am having the same lethargic downshifts that is also intermittent. Hey, I was wondering if your issue ever resolved itself. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm hoping it may be some sort of vehicle protection mode that is temporarily on after a recent oil change and that it will eventually go back to normal. It does seem to get a bit better (but not perfect) after 10 or 15 minutes or so in the car, but most of my trips are that length, so I am always experiencing it. It makes the car feel like a Buick/Lexus with super slow gear changes and makes me really not want to drive it. But upshifts happen instantaneously, as normal. It feels as if the car is in "Eco Pro" mode and has the shift harshness set to 1 (even though it is set to 3). The gear number in the display changes instantly, but the actual mechanics of the gear change are heavily delayed. I just got my vehicle back from its annual service and as soon as I drove away, I noticed that when I downshift, instead of it being instantaneous, it takes approximately 1.5 - 2 seconds before the gear change happens. ![]()
